Opportunities are currently availablein Nanaimo, Duncan (Cowichan Valley), Comox Valley, Port Alberni and Victoria, offering a range ofpractice environments from community pediatrics to regional subspecialty care.
Nanaimo Join an established collegial pediatric team at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital withopportunities to build a consulting community practice supported by funded on-call schedules.The hospital includes a dedicated pediatric ward, outpatient pediatric services, and a state-of-theart Level 2B NICU supporting infants requiring specialized neonatal care. Nanaimo also offersopportunities for academic involvement through UBC teaching programs
Cowichan Valley (Duncan) Practice within a team-oriented medical community at Cowichan District Hospital, serving a thrivingand growing region. Physicians work alongside a broad network of family physicians andspecialists while benefiting from an expanding healthcare system, including a new CowichanDistrict Hospital expected to open in 2027 with increased inpatient, operating room and criticalcare capacity.
Comox Valley Located within one of Vancouver Island’s fastest-growing regions, the North Island Comox ValleyHospital offers opportunities to join a collaborative pediatric team serving both local and referralpopulations. Port Alberni Provide pediatric care within a welcoming community hospital environment serving local residentsand surrounding coastal and First Nations communities. West Coast General Hospital supports abroad regional population and offers physicians the opportunity to practice comprehensivepediatrics within a collegial medical environment with shared call models and rural incentives.
Victoria Victoria General Hospital provides regional pediatric specialty services supporting communitiesacross Vancouver Island. Opportunities include pediatric subspecialty practice within acollaborative tertiary care setting alongside pediatric specialty teams including NICU, PICU,cardiology, neurology, nephrology, oncology, allergy and immunology, surgery and respiratory medicine.
