As the first employment law specialist at Beacon, you will have the unique opportunity to create a foundational employment function. You will work with HR on agreements, handbooks, and compliance procedures while advising on a range of employment matters. Your role emphasizes collaboration to support employees and ensure legal adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build Beacon’s employment legal function from scratch
• Partner with HR on employment agreements and policies
• Advise on terminations and terminations management




• Manage employment claims and disputes effectively
• Create a library of templates and employment playbooks

Requirements:
• J.D. or LL.B. from an accredited Canadian law school
• 6+ years of employment law experience
• Deep knowledge of Canadian employment law
• Proven ability in handling employee separations
• Robust communication skills for non-legal partners
