Wiikwemkoong Child and Family Services is looking for two Community Support Workers to deliver culturally responsive support to children and families. This role emphasizes advocacy, prevention, and community engagement.

In this role, you will use your skills in social work or related fields to support Indigenous families facing child welfare challenges. Responsibilities include delivering trauma-informed services, conducting assessments, and facilitating community programs aligned with Anishnaabe values. Your contributions will significantly shape the well-being of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct advocacy for children and families in need
• Conduct intake assessments and develop customized service plans
• Facilitate community-based prevention programs and workshops




• Ensure collaboration with supervisors, Elders, and community partners
• Maintain confidential case records and prepare reports

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Social Work or related areas
• Experience with Indigenous children and families
• Knowledge of relevant child welfare legislation
• Understanding of Anishinaabe culture and traditions
• Valid Class “G” Ontario Driver’s License
