Position Summary: Building upon theories and research methods that were introduced in UX Research Methods I, the focus of this course is on the methods for summative UX research with a specific focus on quantitative and statistical methods for the evaluation of usability in human-centred design. This course focusses on how usability can be interpreted in terms of user performance and satisfaction and emphasizes that usability is dependent on the specific circumstances in which a system, product, or service is used.

Qualifications – Required Academic Degree: Master’s Degree

PhD with emphasis in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design or equivalent is preferred

Teaching experience at the college or university level or experience providing training in UX quantitative research or equivalent is required

Graduate level teaching experience is preferred

Applied quantitative research practice involving human subjects or equivalent is required

Commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the classroom is preferred

Currency with industry best practices and tools relevant to the course is preferred
