Job Description
Position Summary
The Senior Technical Delivery Manager will leadapplication-readiness coordination for a new retail store opening. The role will serve as the portfolio lead's hands-on program partner,establishing a reliable view of the current landscape and driving multiple applications toward production readiness. This person will coordinateapplication managers and cross-functional dependency teams, manage the criticalpath, maintain governance and provide clear executive-level reporting in acompressed delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program mobilization: Rapidly assess theexisting landscape, plans, documentation, risks, stakeholders and deliverystatus; identify gaps and establish an integrated control structure.

Integrated planning: Build and maintaina workback plan from the production-readiness milestone, coveringconfiguration, application-readiness testing, integration testing, productionvalidation, training and hypercare dependencies.

Application readiness: Coordinatereadiness across approximately 74 applications and the managers accountable fortheir respective application areas.

Critical-path management: Identifyprerequisite activities—such as master-data setup—and ensure that dependencycommitments are achieved before downstream configuration or testing isaffected.

Cross-functional coordination: Work withmerchandising, finance, supply chain, master data, technology, business teamsand other partners to secure dates, resolve blockers and maintain alignment.

Governance and reporting: Prepareconsolidated status reporting,



facilitate governance forums and communicaterisks, decisions and required actions to managers, directors and seniorbusiness and IT leaders.

Risk and escalation: Identify emergingschedule or readiness risks early, coordinate recovery actions and elevateunresolved dependencies with clear impact analysis and recommendations.

Program controls: Maintain the portfoliocharter, scope, RAID log, stakeholder map, application inventory, manager-levelchecklists, decisions, dependencies and milestone evidence in line with DMOguidelines.

Playbook development: Create reusablestore-opening artifacts, checklists and lessons learned because prior internaldocumentation and experienced store-opening resources are limited.

Hypercare support: Coordinatepost-production validation, operational readiness and hypercare through thestore-opening period and any approved extension.

Requirements
Experience

Senior-level experiencemanaging complex technical projects or programs involving multipleapplications, delivery teams and cross-functional dependencies.

Demonstrated ability to takeownership of an initiative already in progress, rapidly establish the truestatus and create an executable recovery or delivery plan.

Strong understanding ofapplication delivery lifecycles, including configuration, environment and datadependencies, readiness testing, integration testing, production deployment andhypercare.

Proven experience identifying,maintaining and communicating a critical path and translating dependencyslippage into schedule and business impact.

Exceptional written and verbalcommunication, including experience presenting to managers, directors,



seniordirectors and executive stakeholders.

Strong stakeholder-management,facilitation, negotiation, follow-up and escalation skills across business andIT teams.

Experience maintainingprogram-management artifacts such as charters, integrated schedules, RAID logs,RACI models, governance packs, decision logs and executive status reports.

Highly proactive, organized andhands-on, with the judgment to operate independently in an ambiguous andtime-sensitive setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Program or project managementexperience within retail.

Experience supporting a newstore opening, retail-site launch or comparable operational go-live.

Experience coordinating a largeapplication portfolio and cross-functional teams such as merchandising,finance, supply chain and master data.

Relevantprogram/project-management certification or equivalent delivery experience.

Experience working within anenterprise DMO/PMO governance framework.

Salary Range: CAD $115,000 - $120,000/year

The final compensation offered will depend on local marketconditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as thecandidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, andeducation/training. Compensation may also include additional components such asbenefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
