Administrative Assistant II-Posting (phone hidden) This position assists the Health Director by serving as a liaison b/w internal and external agencies. This position will provide and maintain meeting agendas, prepare BOH reports, maintain minutes to BOH meetings and take minutes, and maintain policies, review/administer contracts for the agency and serve as Report Coordinator of the Child Fatality Prevention Team. This position will also serve as local vital records administrator for the agency. Employee must have strong multi-tasking skills and must be able to relate and communicate well with staff and people from all social economic groups and backgrounds.
Requirements Completion of high school or equivalent and five years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative experience including one year of administrative or office management experience; or completion of a two-year secretarial science or business administration program and three years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative experience including one year of administrative or office management experience; or completion of a four-year program in a college or university preferably with major emphasis on coursework in business administration, public administration or other related field and six months of administrative or office management experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Compensation The hiring range for this position is $45,337 - $50,699. Halifax County provides a comprehensive employee advantages package, including membership in the N.C. Local Government Employees' Retirement System.
