This one-year term position requires a motivated individual to lead within the Dedicated Substance Abuse Treatment Unit. You'll supervise staff, coordinate program needs, and complete addiction assessments and inmate evaluations. By providing one-on-one counseling and acting as a liaison with community resources, your role is essential in supporting the rehabilitation process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Cognitive Behavioural Addiction Programs effectively
• Supervise and lead staff and volunteers in treatment
• Complete addiction assessments and make referrals
• Prepare and review inmate evaluations consistently
• Liaise with community resources and correctional staff
Requirements:
• Solid knowledge of addiction counseling methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to build positive relationships
• Relevant experience in correctional facility environments
• Familiarity with current substance abuse issues
