The Department of Health is seeking an individual to join the Public Health Branch as a Senior Program Advisor.
As a Senior Program Advisor, you will support Public Health's Operations & Support team by:
- Ensuring timely and accurate documentation of immunization events and inventory details within the Public Health Information Solution (PHIS) through ongoing engagement with clinical stakeholders;
- Engaging with diverse clinical and non-clinical health system partners to support and facilitate continued awareness, education, and training associated with immunization and vaccine inventory documentation processes;
- Supporting various programs by providing leadership, oversight, decision-making and subject matter expertise related to ongoing improvements regarding associated operational processes;
- Engaging and collaborating with subject matter experts, both internal and external to the Department, to complete operational assignments;
- Representing the Department on various relevant Federal/Provincial/Territorial (F/P/T), interdepartmental, and multi-stakeholder committees, ensuring decision-makers within the Department are kept abreast of issues related to their area(s) of responsibility;
- Preparing documents, presentations, as well as various training and operational process materials;
- Completing other duties, as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or another health-related program and a minimum of six (6) years of related work experience as a subject matter expert in immunization, or
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or another health-related program and a minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience as a subject matter expert in immunization
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability on your application

In the event that this competition poses difficulties in recruiting a qualified candidate, a covering off appointment at a lower level may be made. In that case, candidates with less than the required related years of experience may also be considered.
Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates that possess one or more of the following asset qualifications:
- Expertise or experience working with Panorama, or other similar immunization or Public Health systems
- Expertise or experience in providing education/training programs
- Expertise or experience in Quality Assurance
- Experience in planning for immunization programs

Salary: $77,766 to $103,454 per annum (Pay Band 6)
