Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Wind Turbine Technician (Troubleshooting) to join our team to support operations and maintenance at Bull Creek Wind Farm in Provost, Alberta.
The technician must be competent and qualified to work on GE 1.X or similar model GE wind turbines. GE specific training and electrical / mechanical competencies are an asset. GE troubleshooting skillset/experience is a mandatory requirement.

Here's what you will do as a Wind Technician: Full time home position at Bull Creek Wind Farm in Provost, Alberta.
Support the site On-Call Program on weekends.
Climb wind turbines (upwards of 130m) to perform diagnostic testing, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components/systems.
Complete various reports, checklists, and hazard analysis as it pertains to job scope.
Participate in company and customer HSE/training programs.
Deliver exceptional customer experience/service to our partners in the industry.
Follow all Health and Safety policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace
Scheduled maintenance of Wind Turbine Generators including: inspection, greasing, cleaning, torquing and tensioning of bolted connections
Apply LOTO
Electrical Troubleshooting
Hydraulic Troubleshooting
Follow and implement work procedures for specific scopes of work to inspect, repair and maintain Wind Turbine components
Populate, track and communicate client and company documentation on a daily basis
Maintain and track parts/consumables inventory.
Complete work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
Maintain a clean work area, equipment and tooling
Perform other daily work requirements as directed by Site Management
Maintain required training certifications for position (Fall Protection/Rescue Training, LOTO, First Aid/CPR/AED) etc.

Do you have the Spark? Here's what we're looking for: Technicians who have the following: Alberta residence preferred
2 years minimum GE 1.X troubleshooting experience OR
3 years minimum wind turbine troubleshooting experience
Strong organizational skills
High computer literacy and aptitude with M365 applications
Preferred Work Experience if not a Wind program graduate: 5 Years Wind Industry Experience
