Job Description
We're looking for a Manager, Production Technical to lead a highly technical and hands-on production support function in a regulated manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, breakdown resolution, technical problem-solving, and team leadership across a mixed and experienced maintenance group.

The successful candidate will be strong technically, confident in cross-functional conversations, and able to build trust, drive accountability, and move work forward in a complex environment.

Skills and Requirements




• Bachelor's degree in STEM, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong technical background in pharmaceutical, CPG, food, or another comparable manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production equipment such as tablet presses, coating pans, compactors, or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of automated systems, control systems, troubleshooting, PLCs, controllers, electrical systems, and safety relays.
• Working knowledge of building systems and utilities and how they interact with production operations.
• Experience leading in a regulated setting with GMP requirements.
• Experience supporting or responding to audits - if they come from outside of pharma, then whatever regulatory body is applicable (FDA, ISO audits, etc.).
• Interpersonal Skills
○ Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to different audiences.
○ Ability to lead through influence, build relationships, and take accountability to move work forward.
○ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume and variety of technical issues.
○ Strong learning agility, adaptability, and a proactive, ambitious approach. • Experience in pharma, especially in environments with a wide variety of equipment and frequent changeovers.
• Background in maintenance management, plant operations, or production engineering.
• Experience from capital engineering or equipment design that complements plant operations.
• Exposure to Canadian manufacturing or Canadian employment context, if applicable.
