To support the growth of our Thunder Bay office, we are actively seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to join our Highways & Bridges Division.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on high profile projects including a variety of highway planning and design assignments being undertaken in Northern Ontario.

Responsibilities:



Work with project managers to accomplish various tasks associated with various projects;
Preliminary and detailed design of arterial roads, highways and freeways (alignments, geometrics, staging, utilities, roadside safety);
Checking of designs, drawings, quantity calculations, contract preparation;
Construction inspection and preparation of reports;
Mentoring junior design staff.

Qualifications:
B.S.

Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University;
10-15 years' experience with highway and road design;
Skilled Engineering Designation in Ontario is required;
Experience in consulting engineering environment;
Experience utilizing Inroads is mandatory;
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D;
Experience working on MTO projects /designs is mandatory;
Must have sound knowledge of current engineering principles, methods, and practices;
Excellent technical and communication skills are a necessity;
Ability to work on several projects concurrently;
Pay range: $89,000 to $124,000

In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.





Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
