**About Us**
A Minute for Mental Health is a Canadian social enterprise developing practical, evidence-informed mental health tools that help people build resilience in under a minute.

Our flagship project is a mobile app designed to support public safety and public service professionals—including healthcare workers, first responders, educators, correctional staff, and others working in high-stress environments.

Our mission is to make mental health education more accessible, practical, and easy to use by combining research, technology, and lived experience into simple digital tools that support everyday well-being.

We're looking for a motivated student who is passionate about mental health, community impact, innovation, and improving access to mental health resources.
**Position Summary**
As the Student Digital Health & Community Engagement Assistant, you'll work closely with the Founder to support the development, implementation, and growth of our mental health app and related initiatives.

This role is ideal for students interested in public health, social services, business, health promotion, psychology, communications, or entrepreneurship.

You'll gain hands-on experience working in a growing social enterprise while contributing to a digital product designed to improve mental health across Canada.
**Responsibilities**
Support the planning and development of new app features from a user perspective
Conduct research on digital mental health trends, best practices, and community needs
Gather and organize user feedback to help improve the app experience




Assist with testing new app features and reporting usability issues
Help develop educational resources and in-app content
Support community outreach, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement
Assist with project coordination and documentation
Conduct market research and competitor analysis
Help identify opportunities to improve accessibility and user engagement
Participate in brainstorming sessions focused on innovation and product improvement
Assist with communications, presentations, and promotional materials
Support pilot projects and evaluation activities
**Qualifications**
We're looking for someone who is: Currently enrolled in a college or university program such as: Business
Public Health
Health Promotion
Social Service Worker
Social Work
Psychology
Communications
Human Services
Community Development
Health Sciences
Entrepreneurship
or a related field
Passionate about mental health and creating positive social impact
Curious, creative, and eager to learn
Organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interested in digital health, innovation, and technology (technical experience is not required)
**Assets (Not Required)**
Experience or interest in any of the following would be considered an asset: Mental health or health promotion
Community engagement
Research and data collection




User experience (UX) or customer journey mapping
Project coordination
Digital communications or social media
Accessibility and inclusive design
Canva or other design tools
AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot)
Entrepreneurship or startup environments
