Adecco is recruiting on behalf of our client for a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to support community members in Gold River, BC.
This rewarding role is ideal for someone who brings empathy, patience, respect, and strong interpersonal skills to their work. As a Home Support Worker, you will help clients maintain their independence and quality of life by providing in-home support, wellness guidance, and assistance with daily living activities.
Pay Rate: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Location: Gold River, BC

Job type: Permanent |Full-time

Responsibilities:
Assist Elders and community members with daily living activities and preparation for medical appointments

Support clients with mobility and accessibility needs

Promote healthy lifestyles by providing guidance on nutrition and meal planning

Ensure clients have access to appropriate food supplies, including non-perishable items

Conduct home visits and assess living environments for safety, cleanliness, and potential risks

Encourage participation in community programs and activities

Assist with organizing recreational and wellness activities for clients

Collaborate with families and caregivers to support individualized care plans

Participate in care planning meetings and provide updates on client well-being

Maintain accurate client notes, records, and reports





Perform additional related duties as required

Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in Home Care, Community Support, Healthcare, Social Services, or a related field is considered an asset

Ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented team

Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to client care

Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building trusting relationships

Comfortable working in diverse situations, including emergencies and high-pressure environments

Commitment to respecting Indigenous culture, traditions, and community values

Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required

RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check is required

Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs

Comfortable navigating stairs and assisting clients with mobility needs

Ability to travel within the community to clients' homes

Flexible to work varying shifts and schedules as operational needs require

Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
