Some general expectations of the role include: Representing our firm's values including empathy, education, efficiency and safety
Managing tight timelines for deliverables that require an attention to detail
Managing calendars ? effectively coordination and scheduling of appointments, meetings and activities
Managing project deadlines ensuring all projects get completed on-time
Data entry of technical and legal information requiring attention to detail
Drafting legal documentation with accuracy
Maintaining and updating paperless filing
Supporting team in preparing reports, letters and other deliverables
Editing deliverables
Client meetings
As an experienced insolvency administrator you will be expected to have: a working knowledge of insolvency concepts
mentor junior staff and clients in their understanding of insolvency concepts
the ability to prepare and review insolvency documentation such as surplus income calculations, statements of receipts and disbursements, section 170 reports, reports to court (various), etc.
An interest in continually building your working knowledge of the intricacies of law (the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, other acts and case law) is essential. We can cater your role to what you have experience in as well as where you would like to continue to grow in this industry. We pride ourselves on frequent and clear feedback so you can continuously work towards your goals.
We work in a paperless office so computing skills such as fast-paced typing, swift navigating, as well as an inherent knowledge of technology is a must for getting the job done.
