The Prospect: The Prince Albert Correctional Centre is seeking a highly motivated Senior Program Facilitator for a one year term to work within a Dedicated Substance Abuse Treatment Unit working with adult inmates.
Duties will include providing supervision, leadership and direction to staff/volunteers, coordinating program requirements, demonstrating leadership within the treatment unit, completing Addictions assessments, completing referrals, and preparing and reviewing inmate evaluations.
You will be responsible for facilitating Cognitive Behavioural Addiction Programs and other programming as required. You will be involved in one-on-one counselling with inmates.



You will act as a liaison with community resources and as a resource to the Correctional Centre as a whole; particularly for the Assistant Deputy Director of Programs, Correctional Officers and Health staff. Execution of these duties will depend on your excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with your colleagues, inmates, and other stakeholders within the Correctional Centre environment and community.
Our candidate of choice will have knowledge of current and emerging issues and alcohol and drug programs and counselling methodology in order to facilitate and evaluate programs and services.
