Hello! We are a friendly family living in the Southlands area of Vancouver (just a short bus ride from the UBC campus). We recently moved from Japan this June.

I am currently looking for a fun, energetic female babysitter / "English Playmate" to play with our children and help them get used to an English-speaking environment.

[About the Role]

We have three sweet children (ages 2, 5, and 6), but I will be at home with you the whole time! Your primary responsibility will be engaging and playing with my two older boys (5 and 6 years old) in English for about 2 to 3 hours a day.
No housekeeping is required! We want you to dedicate 100% of your time to playing with the kids, keeping them engaged, and helping them learn English in a fun, natural way through games and activities.
While the three kids naturally play together,



I will be taking care of our 2-year-old daughter's diaper changes and nap times, so you will not have to worry about that at all. Since we just moved to Canada, our children do not speak English yet, and they will be starting school this coming September!

For their education, fluent English is an absolute requirement.

[Schedule & Pay]
The pay rate for this position is $20 per hour.
We are looking for someone who can come for about 2 to 3 hours a day. The schedule is very flexible! If we are a valuable match, we would love to build a long-term relationship and continue working with you, coordinating our schedules even after the kids start school in September.

We might also need occasional babysitting for other errands.

[IMPORTANT NOTE: Language & Contact]

English: Fluent English is a MUST for playing with the kids.

Japanese/Mandarin: My native language is Japanese, and I can also speak basic Mandarin. If you can ALSO speak basic Japanese or Mandarin to communicate with me, it would be a huge help!
