ABOUT US

We are a bilingual (French & English) family of three living in a condo in Ottawa, Ontario. We are currently looking to hire a full time nanny to help us care for our 19 month old and help with our 1 month old occasionally.

START DATE

August 24, 2026 (full-time)

QUALITIES

- Reliable and Punctual: consistently show up as scheduled and on time.
- Organized and Prepared: plan the child’s food, snacks, toys, games, and activities in advance. Follow the parents’ communication guidelines. Knows what to do in case of an emergency.
- Adaptable: adapt to the childcare style of the family the nanny is working with.
- Creative and fun: combine their own strengths and hobbies with the interests of the child to create experiences that are both tailor-made and memorable. Stimulate the children as much as possible with educational toys available at the house.
- Helpful with small tasks around the house

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a nurturing environment for our little one while also helping to maintain a clean and organized home. This includes:

- Feed, dress baby for the day. Pack diaper bag/snacks
- Walk in stroller to park, library, story time, playgroup etc.
- Facilitate nap




- Prepare simple snacks for baby- cutting fruit, heating soup
- Tidy baby mess- toy clean up, sweep floor after meal, wipe down high chair, put baby dishes in dishwasher.
- Tidy the house, do occasional laundry (start a load laundry machine or dryer, hang clothes to dry, fold clean clothes, etc), load/unload the dishwasher

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Must like to go on long walks and do outdoor activities

EXPERIENCE

- experience caring for infants (under 1 year old)
- familiar with gentle parenting

CERTIFICATION:

- Cardio-pulmanory resuscitation (CPR) and first aid

ASSET
Training as an Early learning and Childcare Educator (ECE)

- salary will be adjusted accordingly
