**About The Role**
We're looking for a strong Commercial Account Associate to support our professional liabilities accounts in Markham.
This role involves working closely with Senior Team members of the Skilled Liabilities team and requires someone who is responsive, has strong time management skills, and has good knowledge of professional liability insurance.
This is an ideal role for someone with robust technical and systems experience who is looking to transition into the role of Junior Account Manager within the new 2 years.
**What You'll Do**
Day-to-day activities for clients and prospects including but not limited to: File management, preparation of client renewal packages (certificates, summaries, etc.), preparation of invoices, follow up on aged receivables.
Timely issuance of certificates, submissions, binders, summaries, policies, etc.
Effective communication with clients and third parties; i.e., answering client inquiries and communicating with insurance companies
Effective management of the abeyance system
Negotiation and use of EPIC
Minimizing Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO) to HUB standards
Preparing for and participating in client meetings in support of Account Manager and/or Producers/Senior Team Members
**What You'll Need for Success**
Valid RIBO license, or willingness to obtain in short order
Typically, 2+ years of commercial insurance experience
Experience in market negotiations on commercial policies is an asset
Strong aptitude to learn current risks along with a desire to keep up to date with emerging trends
Results-oriented and passionate, with a strong sense of accountability and client management skills
Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills
Solid team player who also possesses independence of thought
Proactive client-focused approach with effective negotiation and follow-up skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (formulas and pivot tables), Power
Point and Outlook
Experience with Applied EPIC or similar insurance broker management systems
Ability to engage with clients and carrier contacts on a regular basis to determine
needs and fulfil requirements utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills

_The compensation for this position is a variable compensation structure, i.e., base salary plus commission.
As such, the total compensation earned will vary depending on the successful candidate's book of business at a particular time.
The expected base salary for this position is $47,000-$60,000.
The total compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
