Caring Daytime Nanny Wanted – (Full Time)

Location: East York, Ontario (St. Clair and O’Connor)
Schedule: Full Time

Start Date: May 2026

We are looking for a nanny / caregiver for our 12 month old starting in May. We are located in East York. This is a full-time role averaging 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Looking after and caring for the baby/toddler while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Adhering to baby/toddler feeding and napping schedules as set by the parents.
- Cleaning and tidying after baby/toddler.
- Practicing safe feeding (ability to prepare nutritious meals an asset but not required).
- Providing personal care including diaper changes, potty, dressing as needed.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment including practicing valuable hygiene and hand-washing, closing baby gates and child locks, keeping hazardous materials out of reach, cleaning feeding and play areas.
- Supporting child development through age-appropriate educational activities, play, reading, going on walks or playground.
- Light housework while baby/toddler is sleeping or parent is with baby/toddler.

Skillset:

- Patient, nurturing, dependable, organized and responsible caregiver, gentle parenting style.




- Physically capable to be on feet for majority of the day, to lift and carry a baby/toddler, to actively play and run after, and perform light household tasks.
- Understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities including for feeding and play.
- Ability to communicate well in English (oral and written).
- Flexibility to accommodate changes to the parents’ work schedules on occasion.

Qualifications and requirements:

- Experience: 5 years of experience caring for babies/toddlers under the age of 3, in Canada.
- Excellent references in Canada.
- Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR before start of position.
- Police background check with vulnerable sector screening before start of position.
- Legally allowed to work in Ontario, Canadian or Permanent Resident (not sponsoring).
