Part time Nanny and Household Support — Midtown Toronto

We are a family in Midtown Toronto seeking a caring, experienced and dependable live-out nanny to primarily care for our infant son, born March 5, 2026.

We also have an older son, born June 25, 2024, who currently attends daycare. The role may gradually expand to include care for both children, including occasional daycare pickups, evenings, daycare closures and other times when our older son is at home.

We are looking for someone interested in becoming a trusted, long-term part of our household rather than simply providing occasional babysitting.

Primary Responsibilities

Infant care

- Bottle preparation and feeding
- Diaper changes, dressing and basic hygiene
- Following established nap and feeding routines
- Age-appropriate developmental activities
- Tummy time, reading, songs, walks and sensory play
- Monitoring the baby’s mood, development and daily routine
- Maintaining a safe, calm and nurturing environment

Occasional toddler care

- Engaging our older son in age-appropriate play and activities
- Preparing snacks and meals
- Supporting his established routines and boundaries
- Occasional daycare pickup or care when daycare is closed
- Potentially caring for both children as the role develops

Household support

Childcare will be the priority. During naps or other appropriate periods, we would appreciate assistance with light household tasks, including:

- Children’s laundry and folding
- Washing and organizing bottles
- Tidying children’s rooms and play areas
- Loading and unloading the dishwasher
- Light meal preparation
- General household organization
- Keeping the kitchen and common areas tidy

We are not seeking heavy-duty cleaning,



but we would value someone who takes initiative and helps keep the household organized and running smoothly.

What We Are Looking For

- Meaningful experience caring for infants
- Experience managing a toddler and infant together is strongly preferred
- Current infant and child CPR and first-aid certification
- Knowledge of infant secure-sleep practices
- Calm, patient and nurturing personality
- Reliable, punctual and communicative
- Comfortable following the parents’ feeding, sleep and discipline routines
- Comfortable working in a household where parents may sometimes be working from home
- Able to provide recent childcare references
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Non-smoker

Hours and Availability

This is initially a part-time, flexible position. We are open to discussing a regular weekly schedule that works for both the nanny and our family.

There may also be opportunities for additional hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, daycare closures and care for both children. The position could expand over time for the right person.

Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, qualifications, responsibilities and the agreed schedule.
