We are a friendly French-English bilingual family living in Mississauga, approximately a five-minute drive from Square One. We are looking for a caring, dependable and enthusiastic caregiver to spend time with our two children, ages five and three.

We are homeschooling our children while also running a business. We are looking for someone who can care for and engage them during the day so that we can have dedicated time to work. One or both parents will normally be working from home and available when needed, while giving the caregiver space to develop their own routine and build a positive relationship with the children.

The regular schedule would be one or two weekdays per week, approximately six hours per day. There may also be opportunities for occasional weekend work, generally about once a month, based on mutual availability.

There is no strict curriculum to follow. We may occasionally suggest activities or areas of focus, but we would also be happy for the successful candidate to bring their own ideas, interests and creativity to the role.

Responsibilities will include:





Supervising and engaging with both children
Organizing simple, age-appropriate activities
Spending time outdoors whenever the weather permits
Encouraging art, creativity and hands-on exploration
Reading, playing games and supporting imaginative play
Helping the children with easy learning activities when appropriate
Fixing an easy snack for the children when needed

Tidying up toys, art materials and spaces used during the day

Our family speaks both French and English, but French is not required. The ability to speak Spanish would be a significant bonus, as we would be very interested in exposing our children to more Spanish through conversation, songs, stories and play.
