Live-In Elder Caregiver (Mon to Fri) for a Loving Family in Markham, Ontario

We are a warm, close-knit family looking for a compassionate, experienced caregiver to care for our mother in the family home. Our mom (81) is living with Alzheimer's and now needs full-time personal care and companionship. Our father (82) lives with her and is devoted to her, but he's also very senior and carrying a excellent deal, so this role also means supporting the household so he can rest.

This is primarily a live-in role, Monday to Friday (private room provided). We're open to live-out for the right person (approximately 11 am to 7 pm).

Caring for our Mom:

- Personal hygiene and grooming (bathing, toileting, dressing)
- Gentle supervision, redirection, and companionship (Alzheimer's care)
- Medication reminders and support as needed
- Mobility and safety support
- Patience, warmth, and genuine connection

Supporting the household (helping our Dad):

- Cooking daily meals
- Laundry, tidying, and housekeeping
- Keeping the home calm, clean, and running smoothly

We're hoping to find someone who:

- Is an experienced caregiver. PSW certification and relevant training strongly preferred




- Has genuine Alzheimer's / dementia experience
- Is warm, patient, respectful, and trustworthy
- Female preferred (for personal care / toileting / bathing)
- Speaks Urdu, Hindi, or Punjabi (an asset for our mom). We also warmly welcome the many wonderful Filipino caregivers or others
- Has legal status to work in Canada (citizen, PR, or open work permit)
- Can provide references and is open to a Vulnerable Sector Check

Details:

- Live-in, Monday to Friday (private room), or live-out approximately 11 am to 7 pm (may vary)
- Start: as soon as we find the right person
- Compensation: competitive, based on experience. We'll take good care of the person who takes good care of our mom.
