Onsite work location Located at 401 Okanagan Avenue E, Penticton, BC, V2A 3K1, this full-time position offers a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule, ensuring 40 hours per week with no weekend shifts. Why this role matters The Customer Service - Counter Sales role acts as the primary point of contact for incoming branch customers. They will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by interpreting customer needs, troubleshooting issues, ensuring order accuracy, and recommending products and solutions. Duties could also include order assembly, packing & shipping, receiving, stock keeping, warehouse maintenance, and customer/sales support, including operating equipment, managing inventory, processing shipments, and assisting with priority orders and customer inquiries.

What To Expect In The Role

- Attention to detail. You will review stock, assemble orders, and support shipping and receiving activities while ensuring accuracy.
- Customer service oriented.



You will provide excellent customer service while maintaining and building customer relationships through product quotations and sales.
- Strong multitasker. You will manage multiple customer requests while balancing competing priorities and timelines.

- Strong communicator. You will communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with customers and colleagues.
- Highly organized. You will manage a high volume of customer requests, adjust priorities, and work effectively through interruptions.
- Comfortable with technology. You will use phones, computers, and internal systems to assist customers and complete daily tasks.

- Comfortable with warehouse responsibilities. You will support order assembly, packing and shipping, receiving, stock keeping, warehouse maintenance, inventory management, and customer and sales support.

Ideal candidate profile

- 1+ years of customer service experience is an asset
- A wide range of expertise in the products and services provided by E.B. Horsman & Son is an asset
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, is an asset
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office & the ability to learn new software programs
- Basic mathematical skills
- Project coordination experience is an asset
- Ability to be inclusive, team-oriented, and respectful
- High school completion
