Become a Spiritual Care Chaplain at St. Joseph's Health System in Hamilton. Engage with patients and families while providing spiritual and religious support in an in-person capacity.

This full-time position requires you to integrate comprehensive spiritual care and counseling into patient services. As a key member of the Spiritual Care Team, you will conduct assessments, record interventions, and develop therapeutic rapport with a diverse client base.

You will also provide bereavement support and contribute to interdisciplinary patient care plans, ensuring that spiritual dimensions are recognized in the healing process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct spiritual and/or religious needs assessments
- Provide care and counseling to patients and families




- Record spiritual care interventions in health care records
- Facilitate spiritual activities and memorial services
- Support staff with debriefing and crisis intervention

Requirements:

- Master's of Divinity or equivalent theological studies
- Certified Specialist with CASC with 1600 hours of education
- Member of College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
- Experience in mental health therapeutic interventions preferred
- Willingness to continue professional development
