We are a mom and dad based in the West End of Halifax seeking a caring and responsible nanny for our 1-year-old daughter. The timeline is for 1 day a week or 2 half days (approximately 6-8 hours/week, which is flexible) and the day of week is also versatile.

This would be from November 2026-May 2027, with potential for extension.

Responsibilities would include:

- providing nurturing, safe, and engaging childcare
- prepping meals and tidying afterward
- facilitating naps, diaper changes, necessary daytime infant care
- occasional light housekeeping during naps as negotiated (e.g., folding laundry, tidying toys, wiping down kitchen)

This is a live-out, part-time position. We are especially interested in candidates who have infant care experience, and who can verify having had CPR/First Aid training, vulnerable sectors check and who will provide References.

Our rate is flexible for the right candidate who can meet our family's needs, and there is potential for raising the rate as time goes on, for the right fit.

About us:



Our daughter is a typically developing child with no allergies or health conditions. She is outgoing, curious, and independent (though likes to have us nearby). She has a great sense of humour and loves to be silly. Mom works in healthcare and dad works in business - mom is heading back to work very part-time and thus needs some help at home.
Dad works from home and will be nearby as needed. We love to spend time together out of the house, play in nature, go for walks, read, and involve our daughter in whatever we are doing. We are a conscientious, dependable and friendly family, and we hope to find someone who fits in!

We live in the West End of Halifax near to major transit routes, and have no pets.
