Description

Midland Courier is currently seeking a Class 5 Straight Truck Driver based in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, great and positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.

Main Role:

The successful candidate will handle the loading and unloading of shipments, verify delivery accuracy, and ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company procedures. In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in a safe and clean operating condition and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:00.

Responsibilities

- Follow the pickup and delivery procedure.




- Load and unload straight truck properly and in a safe manner to avoid damaging packages.
- Accurately process daily pickup and delivery records while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Maintain company equipment standards.
- Listen to and communicate efficiently with the customer.
- Drive and use equipment (Hand Cart) while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
- Work in accordance with the safety regulation, company rules and procedures.
- Report any incident, accident, injury, damage.
- Scheduled start and end times may vary depending on business needs

Qualifications

- Education Required: High School or GED.
- Class G driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years’ protected currier experience required.
- Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs. using the proper equipment.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Safety conscious.
