Here's where you’ll be focusing As a Supply Chain Co-op student, you will be involved in: the construction and maintenance of Engineered Labour Standards at Sobeys National warehouses according to credited Sobeys' National Industrial Engineering processes: Gather project requirements and help in the creation of project objectives and schedules Collect, analyze and simulate data to understand, conceptualize and validate warehouse processes and current labour standards Employ process analysis tools and techniques including Tableau, Excel, process mapping, benchmarking and best practices research to problem solve Identify productivity improvement and retraining opportunities Establish relationship and credibility with front line RSC management in both union and non-union environments Support External Engineering audits & validations regarding ELS Project Discovery, Execution & Management for Supply Chain Productivity projects like Introduction of Labour Standards to Receiving,
Loading functions Data Analytics for Network Development Projects Providing training support for RSC staff on preferred methods Using both formal and informal channels to obtain information, build support and accomplish tasks What you have to offer You are a third year student currently enrolled in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related program. Comfortable working with data, building spreadsheets, and analyzing results. You like understanding how systems work and finding ways to make them better.
You are comfortable working across a variety of locations, inclusive of office and warehouse environments Able to connect with different teams and explain ideas clearly. You are able to work following a shift schedule when business needs require it You ask questions, seek out opportunities, and take ownership of your work.
