*Orthodontist* to join our growing multi-site team.
You'll have the opportunity to build a thriving orthodontic practice with a steady flow of internal referrals from our general dentistry colleagues, working in a modern, digitally-equipped environment.
The ideal candidate is a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics who is passionate about comprehensive treatment planning, enjoys collaborating with a supportive clinical team, and is committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for patients of all ages.
This role is well-suited to a specialist who thrives in a collaborative, family-oriented practice and is eager to contribute to the growth of our orthodontic program while ensuring the highest standards of care. Responsibilities* Provide comprehensive orthodontic examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients of all ages* Design and deliver a full range of orthodontic treatments including fixed appliances (metal and ceramic brackets), clear aligner therapy (Invisalign or equivalent), functional appliances, space maintainers, retainers, and labial/lingual arch wires* Assess abnormalities of jaw development, tooth position, and dental-facial structures, and diagnose conditions such as underbites, overbites, crossbites, crowding, and spacing* Manage interceptive (Phase I) and comprehensive (Phase II) treatment for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients* Interpret cephalometric radiographs, panoramic imaging, intraoral scans, and other diagnostic records* Present comprehensive treatment plans to patients and families, including options, timelines, and financial considerations* Coordinate orthodontic care with our general dentists, hygienists,
and referring specialists to support integrated patient outcomes* Supervise and mentor orthodontic assistants and support staff on clinical protocols and appliance management* Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient records in our practice management software* Stay current with emerging orthodontic techniques, digital workflows, and evidence-based best practices* Participate in team meetings and contribute to practice growth and program development* Maintain full compliance with RCDSO standards, IPAC infection prevention protocols, and PHIPA privacy requirements Requirements* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree* Diploma or degree in Orthodontics from a CDAC-accredited (or CDAC-recognized) specialty program of at least 22 months full-time instruction* Successful completion of the National Dental Specialty Examination (NDSE) in Orthodontics* Current
*Specialty Certificate of Registration in Orthodontics* with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO)* 2–3 years of clinical experience as a practicing orthodontist preferred* Demonstrated proficiency with both fixed appliance and clear aligner therapy* Experience with digital orthodontic workflows (intraoral scanning, 3D treatment planning software) is an asset* Excellent diagnostic, treatment planning, and case presentation skills* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly with pediatric and adolescent patients and their families* Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity* Foreign-trained specialists with appropriate Canadian certifications and RCDSO specialty eligibility are welcome to apply*Job Type:* Fixed-term contract*Pay:* $1.00 – $701,500.00 per year*Schedule:* Flexible — full or part-time days available; travel between Auric network locations may be required*Licence/Certification:** Specialty Certificate of Registration in Orthodontics, RCDSO (required)* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)*Work Location:* In person Pay: $100,000.00-$750,000.00 per year Benefits:* Dental care* In office parking Work Location: In person
