The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $63,347 to $116,190, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE. Required Qualifications And Experience

- Hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate.
- Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching English.
- Solid understanding of the Ministry of Education Core Competencies, Big Ideas, and Learning Standards for English studies.
- The successful candidate will be able to explore Indigenous literature and themes; encourage critical, creative, and reflective thought regarding Canada's First Peoples; as well as collaborate with colleagues to build upon established units.
- Ability to evaluate and report on student progress using International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP assessment standards and practices.
- A willingness to work collaboratively with the IB MYP Coordinator and other classroom teachers to authentically develop IB MYP units of study.
- A commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum.




- An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
- A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
