We are currently seeking a 3rd Class Power Engineer to join our JBS Team located in Brooks, Alberta Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Ensure total care and control of the Boiler Room and associate ancillary equipment

Ensure total care and control of a large ammonia refrigerated plant





Ensure daily plant inspection of ammonia refrigeration and boiler systems and that all systems are operating in a secure and efficient manner

Ensure the recording of data and all relevant information to the operation of the plant under the Chief Engineer’s jurisdiction

Have a bias for action to reduce energy consumption be it gas, electricity, water, and ammonia usage Qualifications And Requirements Valid (ABSA Certified) 3rd Class Power Engineering certificate A minimum 2 years of industrial experience is required

Proven team leader, team player, committed to excellence, and positive attitude

Knowledge of Ammonia refrigeration systems and natural gas fired steam boiler systems
