Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The right 2nd year would also be considered. This role offers a valuable opportunity for individuals progressing through their automotive repair training to gain hands-on experience in a qualified workplace environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical work, customer service, and technical skills, with a focus on developing their expertise in automotive diagnostics and repairs.

Duties

- Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing various automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs and assembly work
- Conduct heavy lifting of vehicle components and parts safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Support the team in vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and component replacements
- Read and interpret schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and part replacements




- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and mechanic skills

Skills

- Prior experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Experience with vehicle assembly and maintenance tasks
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or working under vehicles
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while following safety standards
- Must show honesty, integrity and loyalty

This position is an excellent opportunity for aspiring automotive technicians eager to develop their skills in a professional setting while contributing to quality vehicle service. Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Education

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:
- registered apprentice: 2 years (preferred)
