We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated ABST / AIT Instructor to join our educational team. In this role, you will deliver specialized instruction in the areas of ABST (Alberta Basic Security Training) and AIT (Alberta Investigator), empowering students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the Security and Investigation sector. Your enthusiasm, explicit communication, and classroom experience will inspire learners to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive lessons on security fundamentals, safety procedures, and industry standards in both classroom and practical settings
- Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet diverse learning styles and skill levels
- Foster an interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and questions
- Assess student progress through tests, practical demonstrations, and ongoing feedback
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and certifications achieved by students
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum content and teaching strategies
- Ensure all training activities comply with industry regulations and safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching within security or technical training environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts clearly and confidently
- Classroom experience demonstrating the ability to manage diverse groups of learners
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards, industry practices, and relevant regulations
- Ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning atmosphere
- Certification or relevant qualifications in aviation training or education are preferred but not mandatory
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in aviation education
