The Opportunity

We're hiring an Accountant to own day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and AR/AP across our Canadian and US operations. Reporting to our Finance Manager, you'll take real ownership from day one - running the processes that give the whole company a faster, more accurate month-end close and better data to make decisions. As you grow, so does the role: you'll build out our reporting capabilities and take on end-to-end ownership of our US accounting.

What you'll do Run month-end bookkeeping, reconciliations, and invoicing for both Canada and the US on a consistent monthly cadence

Own weekly general ledger entries and monthly bank, credit card, and GL reconciliations

Own accounts receivable - invoice customers promptly and follow up on outstanding balances to keep receivables current





Own accounts payable - process and coordinate vendor invoice payments on schedule

Improve our reporting capabilities so company-wide reporting gets faster and sharper

Grow into full end-to-end ownership of our US accounting processes What You Bring 2+ years of experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or in a similar accounting role

Experience with the full-cycle accounting process

Extensive experience with data entry and accurate record-keeping

Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve - you catch discrepancies and resolve them independently

Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently to tight deadlines Bonus points if you have Experience with QuickBooks Online

Exposure to ADP (Canada) or Gusto (US) payroll

Familiarity with US GAAP

Experience with Canadian or US income tax and sales tax filings A diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Where you'll work This is a hybrid role based in the Greater Toronto Area, with one day per week in our office at Richmond and Spadina in downtown Toronto.

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
