Our client is seeking a CPA-designated Accounting Manager to join their finance team. This position offers a blend of technical accounting, financial reporting, process improvement, and people leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting ongoing finance operations while partnering with stakeholders across the business to drive informed decision-making and strengthen financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights to support business performance and strategic planning.
- Assist with the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial information across multiple entities.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
- Act as a technical accounting resource for internal stakeholders and provide guidance on complex transactions.
- Partner with external auditors and facilitate annual audit requirements.
- Contribute to special projects, process improvement initiatives, and finance transformation efforts.
- Leverage technology and reporting tools to enhance efficiency, automation, and data visibility.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior members of the finance team.
Qualifications
- CPA designation required.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance,
or a related discipline.
- Progressive accounting and finance experience acquired through a combination of public accounting and industry environments.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, corporate accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Experience interpreting and applying accounting standards in a corporate setting.
- Previous leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP systems and reporting tools.
