Under the supervision of the Controller, the accounting technician ensures timely payment to suppliers after verifying invoices and purchase orders. They maintain internal and external account records. They liaise with internal clients to validate requisitions and ensure compliance with established procedures and policies. The candidate is able to work in a changing task environment

Responsibilities

- Assist accounting team with payment applications

- Ensure the accuracy of receipts awaiting processing

- Verify invoices against purchase orders and flag discrepancies

- Record general ledger entries

- Reconcile deposits on a daily basis

- Various general accounting tasks

Qualifications





- DEC in Accounting or equivalent

- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role

- Proficiency in computer software (Excel, Windows, Word)

- Results-oriented

- Ability to set priorities

- Available for 20 hours per week
- In office

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
