OUR COMPANY

PWO Canada is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier for auto manufacturers globally. We are one of five subsidiaries in the PWO AG Group, manufacturing lightweight metal components for the automotive industry.

PURPOSE OF POSITION The purpose of this position is to manage the accounts payable function and related financial operations activities, including invoice processing, vendor administration, payment execution, month-end accounting support, cash flow reporting, reconciliations, and compliance requirements. The incumbent ensures the accurate and timely recording of supplier transactions, supports financial reporting and audit activities, and collaborates with internal departments and external vendors to maintain efficient financial operations.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION The position will problem solve with managers, vendors, purchasing and logistics when documentation clarification is required. The incumbent must be able to prioritize and organize work, especially at month and year-ends. External contacts may include vendors and financial auditors. Major challenges include finding information that is the responsibility of other departments (i.e.

Quality

Services, Maintenance, Logistics, Shipping and Receiving). Decisions made by the position impact the department in the short term.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration is required.

The position must have strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP operating system for data processing. Good knowledge of accounting practices is required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required in order to balance multiple priorities and problem-solve issues with vendors, accounting, management and purchasing. Attention to details for accurate booking and cost allocation is necessary.

Strong oral and written communication (English)



skills are required for normal business and technical communication.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting position, preferably within an automotive manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

- Process supplier invoices in SAP, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, supporting documentation, and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain vendor master data, including banking information, and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and account reconciliation issues.
- Review vendor statements and monitor outstanding balances to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

1. Payment Processing & Financial Operations

- Coordinate and support regular payment runs, including invoice validation, payment proposal review, electronic payments, wire transfers, ACH/EFT transactions, and other banking activities.
- Monitor payment exceptions and work with vendors, banks, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.

1. Financial Close & Reconciliations

- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities through invoice processing, accrual preparation, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Perform vendor, intercompany, and balance sheet account reconciliations while ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.

1. Reporting, Compliance & Audit Support

- Prepare cash flow reports, tax-related calculations, and other financial analyses as required.




- Maintain appropriate supporting documentation and assist with internal and external audit requirements, compliance activities, and financial reporting processes.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

- Partner with Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, and other departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Support process improvements, maintain internal controls, and provide assistance with other finance and accounting activities as required.

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
