Beaumont Wellness Centre is looking for a compassionate and experienced Addictions Counsellor to join our growing multidisciplinary healthcare team.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and the challenges that often accompany substance use and addictive behaviours.

The Role The Addictions Counsellor will provide confidential, client-centred counselling and support to individuals experiencing concerns related to addiction and recovery. Depending on the counsellor's training and scope of practice, areas of support may include:
- Alcohol and substance-use concerns
- Problematic or addictive behaviours
- Recovery planning and ongoing recovery support
- Relapse prevention
- Harm-reduction strategies
- Identifying triggers and developing healthy coping strategies
- Family and relationship challenges related to addiction




- Emotional regulation and stress management
- Goal setting and behaviour change
- Referrals to appropriate community, medical, or specialized addiction resources when needed

Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is compassionate, non-judgmental, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare workplace.

Applicants should have

- Relevant education and training in addictions counselling, mental health, social services, psychology, or a related field
- Experience supporting individuals affected by addiction and/or substance use
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A client-centred, trauma-informed approach
- Appropriate professional registration, certification, or association membership where applicable to their designation
- Professional liability insurance
- Ability to maintain appropriate clinical documentation, confidentiality, and professional boundaries

Experience in areas such as concurrent mental-health concerns, family support, recovery coaching, trauma-informed care, or relapse prevention would be considered an asset.

Schedule

Flexible. We are open to discussing daytime and/or evening availability and creating a schedule that works for the right practitioner.
