This role will be based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Role Overview

The Admissions Advisor serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students, guiding them from initial inquiry through enrollment. Reporting to the Admissions Manager, this role collaborates with campus departments—including Marketing, Finance, Academics, and Student Services—to deliver a seamless, supportive, and student‑centered admissions experience.

The Admissions

Advisor plays a key role in achieving enrollment goals, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prospective Student Engagement

- Responds promptly to inquiries via phone, email, CRM, social media, and walk‑ins.

- Provides clear program information, scheduling details, funding options, and admission requirements.

- Conducts admissions interviews to evaluate applicant readiness and program suitability.

- Builds rapport with prospective students to understand goals, motivations, and barriers.

Admissions Operations &

- Compliance

- Assists applicants in completing applications, documentation,



identification, transcripts, and Student Aid requirements.

- Ensures compliance with Alberta Advanced Education and Private Vocational Institutions guidelines.

- Enters and maintains accurate data in the CRM and admissions tracking systems.

- Follows campus admissions policies and supports process improvements.

Campus Recruitment &

- Outreach Support

- Conducts campus tours and participates in recruitment events, information sessions, and presentations.

- Supports Marketing campaigns by helping convert leads into appointments and enrollments.

- Engages in community outreach, virtual events, and follow‑up activities to increase visibility and interest.

- Builds positive relationships with referral partners, agencies, and community organizations.

Student Experience &

- Advising

- Delivers an exceptional admissions experience by providing timely communication, encouragement, and guidance.

- Helps students understand program expectations, career pathways, and funding options.

- Assists students in overcoming barriers to enrollment and preparing for program start.

- Ensures all admissions activities uphold a student‑centered, ethical standard.

Campus Collaboration &

- Administrative Support

- Works closely with Academic, Student Services, Finance,



and the Admissions Manager to ensure smooth onboarding.

- Coordinates the transfer of new student files to internal teams for scheduling and orientation preparation.

- Participates in team meetings, training, and campus events as required.

- Provides feedback on trends, student concerns, and recruitment opportunities.

Daily Operations

- Maintains accurate and up‑to‑date enrolment files and documentation.

- Conducts follow‑ups for missed appointments, incomplete applications, and pending Student Aid documents.

- Tracks daily and weekly progress in CRM and provides updates to leadership.

Supports applicants through the full cycle: inquiry interview documentation funding enrollment- start.

Qualifications

Education &

- Experience

- Diploma or certificate in Business, Education, Communications, or a related field (preferred).

- 1–2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, customer service, or advising.

- Experience in private vocational education or post‑secondary admissions (asset).

- Experience working with adult learners and diverse populations is preferred.
