LOCAL HIRING This position is reserved for Inuit/JBNQA beneficiary who resides in the community. Translation in Inuktitut will be available shortly The person works directly with children and their families in the child's various living environments (home, daycare, school) to facilitate the children’s healthy development. In a multidisciplinary context, the FEW works closely with the specialists to offer services to children who show signs of developmental delays.
As a Family Education Worker, the person will perform psychosocial tasks and develop, organize, and lead activities with young families. Under the supervision of the Clinical activities specialist based in Kuujjuaq, the person will have to develop collaboration with CLSC and other community partners.
More specifically, the mandate includes:
Home visits
Individual, familial or group interventions
Early stimulation activities (home, daycare, etc.)
Educational workshops
And other activities included in the Tasiurtigiit program
