Animal Care Attendant

Location: Eastern Passage, NS

Position Type: Part-time

Eastern Passage Village Veterinary Hospital is currently welcoming for a dependable and responsible Animal Care Attendant to join our team! This part-time prospect includes a range of responsibilities which directly attributes to the efficient and effective care of the Seaside Kennel cats while they board with us.

- Caring for our boarded cats; feeding, and offering a gentle voice of assurance
- Administer medications or supplements, insulin as needed
- Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary and comfortable
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for boarding cats
- General housekeeping duties
- Compassion and nurturing attitude
- Good attention to detail and ability to read instructions from medical intake form
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and maintain a high quality of care
- Ability to adapt in changing situations

Schedule:





- This position consists of weekend and holiday coverage only.
- Morning shift is from 7:30 am to 9 am, and the evening shift is from 7 pm - 8:30 pm.
- Coverage is also expected for all statutory holidays or when the clinic is closed.
