Responsibilities

- Assist with carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, and other carpentry-related duties
- Learn and develop carpentry skills under the guidance of experienced professionals
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards
- Learn and apply skills in carpentry techniques and use of tools
- Handle and transport materials as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the certified carpenter

Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent and desire to pursue trade qualification
- First year apprenticeship is preferred
- Basic understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using manual and electrical equipment
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good physical condition and endurance

Key Skills

- Basic knowledge of woodworking and carpentry techniques to assist in the completion of projects and tasks.




- Physical strength and stamina to assist with heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or kneeling.
- Detail-oriented skills to accurately measure and cut wood pieces, ensuring a proper fit and finish in every project.
- Ability to use carpentry tools and equipment safely and effectively, under supervision, including power saws, chisels, drills, and others.
- Problem-solving skills to help identify and rectify issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Communication skills to understand instructions, ask questions when unsure, and effectively collaborate with team members.
- Willingness to learn and adapt, showing initiative in mastering new carpentry techniques and practices.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculating dimensions, estimating project materials, and interpreting blueprints.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
