Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and reliable Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience performing minor and major automotive repairs and a strong understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.

The successful candidate should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, have solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and be adaptable and willing to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and diagnostic techniques as the automotive industry continues to evolve.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical issues on various makes and models of vehicles.
- Perform both minor and major automotive repairs, including engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, and exhaust system repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake services, tire services, fluid checks, and inspections.
- Use professional diagnostic equipment and scan tools to accurately identify vehicle problems and determine the appropriate repairs.
- Inspect vehicles and identify additional safety, maintenance, or repair requirements.
- Properly disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Perform quality-control checks and road tests when required to ensure repairs have been completed correctly.
- Maintain accurate and organized work areas and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service.




- Communicate clearly with team members regarding vehicle conditions, diagnostic findings, and required repairs.
- Stay up to date with new automotive technologies, diagnostic equipment, and repair procedures.
- Be adaptable and willing to learn and take on new responsibilities as required.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair.
- Experience performing both minor and major mechanical repairs.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and scan equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and qualified.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new skills, technologies, and repair methods.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.
- Automotive certification or trade qualification is an asset.
