About the Role

Valentini Hair Design is seeking a dedicated Hairdressing Apprentice / Associate Stylist to join our team.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to build your foundation, refine your skills, or complete your apprenticeship working directly alongside award-winning, internationally published stylists. You will gain hands-on salon experience, learn advanced techniques in a real-world environment, and receive active support in building a thriving, loyal client base behind the chair.

About the Salon

Located in a beautifully restored, century-old home in Guelph, Valentini Hair Design is an award-winning boutique salon recognized locally and internationally, including multi-time Contessa Award honors.

We work with industry-leading global brands—using Schwarzkopf Professional exclusively for custom hair color, alongside Oribe, Kérastase, Kevin.Murphy, Dermalogica, and Eva Garden Makeup. We pride ourselves on a supportive, high-energy environment focused on craft, mentorship, and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Stylist Support: Assist senior stylists with client prep, shampooing, scalp treatments, tone applications, blowouts, and station setups.
- Salon Operations: Maintain pristine salon cleanliness, keep styling stations fully stocked, prepare client refreshments, and manage laundry and salon organization.
- Hands-On Learning: Participate in hands-on practical training sessions, regular model day practice, and advanced technique workshops throughout the day.
- Guest Care:



Deliver exceptional hospitality to ensure every guest enjoys a relaxed, high-touch experience.
- Product Knowledge: Learn and recommend home care routines using our exclusive care, color, and makeup lines.

What We Are Looking For

- Background & Experience Level: Candidates who intend to enroll in hairdressing school, are currently enrolled in a program, have completed hair school, or are licensed/apprentice stylists working to grow their clientele.
- Strong Work Ethic: Reliability, efficiency, and a proactive attitude toward supporting floor operations.
- Passion for the Craft: A genuine enthusiasm for modern trends, techniques, and continual professional development.
- Team Player: High energy, strong interpersonal skills, and a positive mindset.
