Position Overview

Ottawa PoolWorks is hiring qualified Aquafit Instructors to teach programming to participants in a safe, engaging, and enjoyable manner while following the guidelines of the certifying agency and adhering to all corporate and departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure participant safety

- Provide exercise instruction and demonstrations

- Modify exercises as needed

- Monitor participants throughout classes

- Follow certification guidelines

- Follow company policies and procedures

- Maintain required certifications

- Set up and put away equipment

- Maintain a clean and safe class workplace

- Record attendance





- Communicate with participants and staff

- Report safety or facility concerns

- Arrive prepared and on time

Required Qualifications

- Valid National Lifeguard – Pool Certification

- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C

- Aquafitness Instructor certificate (CALA, YM-YWCA, WaterART or other recognized certification)

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
