Job Summary: Architectural Drafter

Winnipeg Housing Consultancy Inc., a leading residential consulting and design company based in Winnipeg, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing precise construction drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, and collaborating with project stakeholders to bring residential projects to life. This position offers an excellent opportunity for skilled growth within the company.

Responsibilities:

- Create detailed architectural drawings and designs for residential construction projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to develop clear and accurate plans.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to applicable building codes, regulations, and client specifications.
- Revise and update plans as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather data or verify design specifications.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of residential construction practices and building codes.




- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate work.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in residential drafting is an asset.
- Knowledge of Infill Guidelines and Low Density Infill Development from the Winnipeg Zoning By-Law.
