Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Asset Manager to oversee the tracking, organization, and management of all insulation and scaffolding materials within our yard. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring materials are properly accounted for, and supporting the operations team by ensuring the right materials are available when needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent organizational abilities, a high level of attention to detail, and an understanding of construction materials. Previous experience working with scaffolding and/or insulation materials would be considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for all insulation, scaffolding, and related materials.
- Track materials entering and leaving the yard and ensure all movements are properly documented.
- Maintain organized and accurate paperwork, inventory logs, transfer records, and other asset documentation.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile physical inventory against computer records.
- Identify discrepancies, missing materials, damaged materials, and inventory shortages and report them to management.
- Ensure materials are properly organized, labeled, stored, and easily accessible within the yard.




- Monitor the condition of materials and identify items requiring repair, replacement, or disposal.
- Work closely with project managers, supervisors, estimators, and yard personnel to coordinate material requirements.
- Prepare materials for upcoming projects and ensure materials are available and accounted for.
- Maintain accurate records using company inventory systems, spreadsheets, and other computer programs.
- Assist with tracking company-owned and project-specific assets.
- Develop and maintain effective systems for material tracking and inventory control.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties related to inventory and asset management as required.

Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in inventory, asset management, warehouse, or yard operations is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and use inventory management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to complete and maintain detailed paperwork and documentation.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and material tracking.
- Ability to identify and understand different construction materials.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.




- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset.

Considered an Asset
- Previous experience with scaffolding materials and equipment.
- Previous experience with insulation materials and products.
- Experience working in the insulation, scaffolding, industrial construction, or construction industry.
- Previous yard, warehouse, or material coordination experience.
- Experience using inventory management software.
- Experience with material take-offs, project material requirements, or construction documentation.

Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in keeping things organized, accurate, and accountable. They will be comfortable working both independently and with the operations team and will have the ability to recognize discrepancies and address them before they become larger issues. A strong understanding of materials is important, but the right candidate will also have the computer skills, organizational ability, paperwork discipline, and attention to detail required to build and maintain an effective asset-tracking system.

- Ability to work in a construction yard environment.
- Ability to walk throughout the yard and inspect materials.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely handle and inspect insulation and scaffolding materials.
