Seeking a Full Time Assistant Educator for our busy preschool program, Monday to Friday. Must be dependable and punctual, able to work a variety of shifts, possess excellent interpersonal skills, adapt to changes with an open mind, work in a rapid paced environment adapting to changes as they occur, and show initiative within the centre programs.

Successful applicants will ensure operational and curriculum requirements are met and in compliance with all Ministry and organizational guidelines. To ensure the delivery of developmentally appropriate, play based programs, using the skills and knowledge related to early childhood education. Will effectively collaborate and communicate with other team members, families and outside agencies in and effort to support the needs of the children.

Requirements

- Experience working with children in a child care setting (0-11 years)
- A current Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Current CPR C and Standard First Aid Certificate (if you do not possess a current CPR C/Standard First Aid, training will be provided for you).




- Knowledge of the developmental needs of children and can demonstrate the ability to apply this knowledge
- Show initiative within the program as it pertains to children, families and team members
- Ability to communicate effectively and create relationships with families, team members and other professionals
- Able to remain calm and patient under pressure and maintain a professional disposition
- Must have the physical and emotional stamina to supervise children in a variety of settings including both indoor and outdoor spaces
- Flexible to adapt to a changing environment and remain positive and open.
- Able to work opening and closing shifts, split shifts and willing to rotate shifts with other team members.
