With a fully embedded dynamic strategic asset allocation (SAA) and enterprise risk management (ERM) infrastructure, pALM supports Agam’s ability to offer one stop, turnkey insurance solutions. We are seeking associates to become part of our quantitative solution team, providing quantitative modeling and development support for the pALM platform.
Key responsibilities include
Agam’s Quantitative Analytics team is accountable for developing and maintaining models used for financial/regulatory reporting and for financial projections in support of balance sheet/capital optimization, strategic/tactical asset allocation and other ad hoc analysis in support of client initiatives.
Reporting to the Director, Quantitative Analytics, the Associate will be accountable for:
Supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of models and end-user computing tools through testing of new functionality
Identifying, developing, and implementing solutions to automate processes,
improve efficiency, and enhance end-user experience
Developing new functionalities and modelling enhancements as necessary, including improved efficiencies
Analyzing and summarizing large datasets of pertaining to financial assets and/or insurance liabilities
Supporting experience analysis on insurance blocks
Contributing to current project initiatives and conducting research as required Requirements:
Graduate or undergraduate degree in Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field Strong programming skills in one or more languages (C, C#, C++, Python, R, other)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
Strong C#/C++ programming skills
Experience with data-driven analytics and analyzing large datasets
Familiarity with a cashflow projection and valuation techniques for a wide range of public and private financial instruments
ASA/FSA or CFA/FRM or similar designation a plus
Previous work experience in financial services or the insurance industry is a plus
Knowledge of US GAAP, US Stat, and/or Bermuda framework regulations is a plus
