Join RBC's Group Risk Management team as Associate Director, Business Continuity Risk Management (BCRM) for Canada & Caribbean. In this second line of defense role, you will support the implementation and oversight of our BCRM program across the region. You'll strengthen operational resilience, ensure regulatory compliance, embed robust risk management practices, and partner with business leaders to drive program effectiveness and adoption.
Support a high-performing culture focused on operational excellence and risk awareness Promote transparency and integrity through effective challenge with the business Manage comprehensive monitoring, oversight, and control programs covering all key BCRM requirements Conduct thematic reviews and policy adherence monitoring assessments to drive continuous improvement Provide oversight on the design and effectiveness of internal control environment Provide recommendations on policies, processes and tools for business continuity risk management Advise senior management and executives on BCRM risk mitigation strategies and emerging industry trends Generate actionable risk insights and reporting that directly inform executive decision-making Support implementation of operational risk management initiatives across the region Foster collaborative relationships with business leaders to drive program adoption and effectiveness Enable first line of defense in establishing appropriate operational risk appetite aligned with strategic objectives Champion risk management behaviors and accountability across all lines of defense Participate in various forums, working groups, and committees as well as monitor the internal and external environment to be aware of organizational, regulatory, strategic, and operational changes and environmental trends impacting business continuity management practices.
Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries,
