Your Chance The Associate Director, International Recruitment & Partnerships is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Huron University’s international student recruitment strategy and advancing the University’s global enrollment objectives through strategic market development, partnership cultivation, and relationship management.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Enrolment, this role will identify growth opportunities across key international markets; establish and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, pathway providers, government organisations, and recruitment agencies; and leverage market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making. Through collaboration with internal stakeholders, the Associate Director will help position Huron as a destination of choice for international students while supporting the University’s Strategic Plan and commitment to global engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape, implement, and evaluate Huron’s international recruitment strategy to support enrolment growth and revenue objectives across priority international markets.
- Develop annual recruitment plans, market priorities,
and performance targets aligned with institutional goals, and improve recruitment effectiveness and return on investment.
- Identify emerging recruitment opportunities and education trends and recommend strategies to diversify enrolment pipelines while mitigating market and geopolitical risks.
- Develop, negotiate, and support strong strategic partnerships with recruitment partners, international schools, educational agencies, pathway providers, government organisations, and other recruitment stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with recruitment partners by monitoring performance and providing training and guidance on aligning with Huron's standards and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Marketing & Communications, Student Services, and Academic Departments to support recruitment and conversion initiatives.
- Prepare reports, forecasts, market analyses, and strategic recommendations to support institutional planning and decision-making.
- Serve as a senior representative of Huron University, promoting the institution's academic offerings, student experience, and brand at international recruitment events, conferences, school visits, webinars, and partner meetings.
Qualifications: This role is ideally suited for a highly relationship-oriented, strategic, and results-driven professional who thrives in an international environment and is passionate about creating access to transformative educational opportunities for students around the world.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Business,
Education, Liberal Arts, or related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in international student recruitment, enrolment management, partnership development, international education, or a related field.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders across cultures.
- Demonstrated success developing and managing strategic partnerships and external stakeholder relationships.
- Experience analyzing recruitment data and market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
- Experience representing an organization internationally through recruitment travel, presentations, conferences, and business development activities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience working with CRM systems and recruitment reporting tools; familiarity with Salesforce is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated intercultural competence, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
- Valid passport, ability to obtain required travel visas, and ability to travel internationally on behalf of the University, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Valid Ontario driver's license.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience: $85,000 - $95,000 per year. This is a full-time, permanent position. Work outside of standard office hours will be required to meet the needs of the office.
